Supporting My Local Community This Year

I’m sure everyone is feeling a bit isolated after 2020. Even I (an introvert) got a bit sick of solitude, since I’ve been working from home through all the lockdowns. I finally decided to reach out to a few acquaintances and I’m so glad I did. Just from hitting up a few people I’ve crossed paths with over the years, I made some genuinely wonderful friends this year. And as a busy business owner, that’s a big accomplishment!

In addition to broadening my social horizons, I also decided to branch out professionally. As a full-time graphic designer, it can get a bit lonely sometimes. We sit behind a desk most of the day, headphones in, mouse-clicking away. So in the spirit of expanding my comfort zone, I am excited to announce that I’ve joined the leadership committee for Ignite YPN (Young Professional Network) for the City of Roseville Chamber of Commerce!

Ignite’s mission is to empower young professionals to become involved in community issues and expand their professional opportunities. After a year like 2020, I definitely see a need to support my community and make more real connections. If you’re in the Roseville area and are interested in boosting your career growth, check out our virtual events at the Roseville Chamber of Commerce site.
